THIS IS NOT MY FAULT
Apr. 26th, 2010 04:01 pmEvery semester, as the end of term approaches, I go totally off the rails, to use the technical term. I pick up new fandoms. I listen to The Black Parade on repeat continuously for a week and spend my finals humming Teenagers. I become wildly over-invested in reality TV stars. This term what it appears to be is a desire to chart out Johnny and Evan's relationship to figure out what the hell is going on between them, fueled by their CONSTANT RETCONNING of their history. Bandom may have had a complicated canon, but at least they didn't constantly lie about it. (Except TAI, obviously, but mostly we had enough data to know that they were lying and why.)
Only because I am writing two papers for this week and two for next week, I can't actually sit down and do the amount of research and backreading that it would take to actually do this. Under the cut is a first pass, including competition results (because I think they're related) and some sourced statements that I have to hand.

If you have info that's not on here (and you almost certainly do, especially if you're brave enough to go through Johnny's blog), leave a comment and I'll add it in when I get a chance. I take all data points that have a semi-reputable source (ie, anything that's not "_skating/AJ says...") and has a date. I know I'm still missing huge chunks of the recent stuff, but I have to run off to the library to get work done now!
I considered and then rejected, on the theory that it would be more work than even I wanted to take on, time lines of Evan's transformation into Orange Bro and Johnny's hair through the ages. (Look at this fluff from Worlds 2006! He's cliched, but he's not monotone or orange!) Someone else should totally do this, though.
