IT IS POSSIBLE TO BUY NUESKE'S BACON IN BOSTON! WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME? And, okay, it's probably too hot for bacon right now, but that's not the point. (I suspect the point may be "...seriously? You have a favorite bacon?" to which I say, yes, yes I do. There was serious discussion on a road trip back from Door County about stopping at their store and buying a fuckton of bacon. There was a good reason we didn't, but I can't remember it.) I discovered this via a post on [livejournal.com profile] b0st0n discussing where to buy bear meat. (Currently, [livejournal.com profile] b0st0n is posting almost entirely in haiku. I read it because it's useful - the hilarity is an added bonus.) Now, if only I could find the Wisconsin baby cheddar in Boston.

Work had a couple of amusing mishaps today - attempts to buy theses from somewhere in Norway, someone using our ILB who doesn't go to this school, a book from Spain we don't know how to pay for. Words of wisdom from my boss: "Well, at least they sent us the book, even if we have no idea how much '4 Vouchers' is," with the distinct impression of 'well, I guess maybe we should try to find out, but no hurry.' (Other words of wisdom included "Laura, it's 4:02 on a Friday. Why are you still here?")

Read the Gift of Fear today. I suspect I will think about it some more and perhaps re-read before offering coherent thoughts. (Every time I say that, I never do.)

My entire flist is talking about Dr. Horrible. Perhaps I should go check that out instead of watching more Hell's Kitchen. (Top Chef is so much better and more interesting than Hell's Kitchen, but Hell's Kitchen is more readily available online. My life, so hard.)
