two hops this time

doctor_denmark is in Boston, and we decided to go hang out at a bar and watch hockey, since actual tickets against the Caps on a Saturday night were a little out of our price range. Since she's not a Bostonian and I'm not a bar-goer, we settled on the highly scientific method of taking the T to North Station and then wandering around and choosing a bar with hockey on a big-screen TV and had a particular beer.
This worked out fine - there were a number of people there for the game, the music initially was sort of generic dudely music but switched over to the broadcast when the game started, the game was fun.
Then, things started to get weird. About 10 minutes before the end of the second period, a dude in Santa suit wandered in. About five minutes after that, a whole group of people in Santa suits (both traditional and sexy) followed. The period ended, the lights dimmed, the sound system switched over to Top 40, and by the end of the second intermission, it was clear that while the game was going to be on the background, we would probably be happier watching the last period somewhere else.
But I can now say that I have seen a group of Santas dance to Miley Cyrus. (Also, do the Cha Cha slide.)
