Feb. 9th, 2010 10:36 pm1. Chuck was bad about gender again this week. But the Superman joke made me laugh and laugh and laugh.
2. Approximately half the time I have been on the internet in the last 48 hours has been spent repeatedly watching that video to Lady Gaga'a Teeth with the shirtless guys and the vampires and the bondage. I am not proud, but neither do I regret it.
3. My Anthro class, the one I was concerned about, may have been redeemed itself in one sentence today. The professor (who is in her late 60s, and dresses and acts like a mild-mannered late-60s anthropology professor might be expected to do) was lecturing, and she mentioned how gay and ultra-masculine can co-exist, as in bear or leather culture, and then she says, "Have any of you been to The Machine? It's this leather bar on Beacon. We go because they have the most amazing drag queen....anyway, back to the point." (Research reveals that it's actually two connected gay bars, one of which is the leather bar and the other of which has the drag queens, in case you thought that drag and leather don't usually go together.)
In conclusion, I will be so delighted if we get a snow day tomorrow.
