i am, like, on top of shit today
Dec. 15th, 2009 09:03 pm1. Got up at 745am! Ate breakfast! Studied for syntax final! (Granted, it's a lot easier to do the first two when someone's agreed to come knock on your door at 8am and the new RAs are apparently attempting to outdo the previous RA's finals breakfast spread - there was salmon. I am not the kind of person who can deal with fish that early in the morning, but I was still impressed.)
2. Took syntax final! Resolved to give up habit of drinking water everytime I paused to think, as I also left the final early so I could go pee. (I was also done. But I might have stayed the last half hour to stare at it some more had nature not been calling.)
3. Finished 2/3 of my family holiday shopping! (Still haven't worked out what to get my dad. But my mother and brother are taken care of, assuming my packages arrive in time.*)
3a. Spent way too much time picking out shiny earrings for my mother, which in turn led me to wish that I wore earrings. Attempted to remind myself that for me, a put-together morning is one that involves remembering to put on a watch.
3b. Where does one even go to get one's ears pierced as an adult? 12 year olds go to the Claire's at the mall, but I'd rather not trust the 18 year old with the shitty piercing gun, you know? Does one go to an actual piercing place? (If so, yelp seems to say I should go to Pino Bros if I do it here, and St Sabrina's if I do it while I'm home.) (Mental note: research whether freshly pierced ears and fencing is a bad combo.)
*Someone remind me that checking the shipping page at amazon.com will not make my order ship faster, especially when it's well past the end of the workday.
