1. It is 60 degrees in Boston right now. In December. I give up.
2. There is nothing quite so sad as someone who got up early for the communal breakfast before finals just for the bacon realizing that he is too late and the bacon is gone. Except it was also hilarious, because he comes running down the hall "BACON BACON BACON I WANT BACON...WHERE IS THE BACON?" (A similar mix of sad and funny: no hot water on the first morning of exam. Insert your own joke about unwashed students here.)
3. Took my first exam today. It was uneventful. 3 classes down, 2 to go.
4. Communicated with my brother via three different ways in 10 minutes. (I had a question I needed an answer to quickly but not urgently, so I texted him (1). Cue a few rounds of back and forth texts. It became clear that a) we were never going to get the question answered via txt and b) we were both sitting around doing nothing but texting, so I called him (2). I got my answer, exchanged a few pleasantries, and hung up. I then realized that I had a follow up question that didn't need an answer for a few days, so I sent him an email (3).) Modern technology is a beautiful thing.
5. There is something to be said for buying Christmas presents on the internet, especially when they are for the family and you can just have them mailed to your parents' house. I don't have to worry about getting things home! They will be there waiting for me when I get there! The postal system is awesome, you guys.
