Dec. 3rd, 2008 10:26 pmWent to fencing meet today. Whoever decided we should have meets in the middle of the week should be shot. Other bad ideas: making your school colors maroon (3 of 4 teams there were in maroon); spending all of our food budget (which usually lasts 9 hours) on a 4 hour meet (which is why at the end of the meet our captains gave us two choices: help clean up or eat the leftover food. And then yelled things like "EAT MORE MEAT" at us. I ate the leftover chocolate. It was for the cause, you see - it was practically my duty.) (The meet we fenced today was Boston-only tourney. I suspect its purpose is so that Harvard can feel superior about winning. Yes, Harvard, we know that you're better fencers than we are. At least one of your fencers has an Olympic medal, ffs. But we do okay, for a D3 team.)
And now I am going to write a 10 page paper that is due tomorrow at 1pm that I haven't gotten beyond the outlining stage for. Yes, I know this demonstrates a catastrophic failure of planning on my part. No, it's not as bad as it sounds - I think about 6 or 8 hours should take care of it, which still leaves time for 4 hours of sleep or so. Plenty, especially since practice was canceled tomorrow and I can and will go to bed at 4pm.
