I am back in the US! And I was going to make a post about my trip, with pictures and everything, since I remembered to grab the pics off my mom's camera before we went our separate ways in the airport - so there's maybe a 50% chance I will actually make the trip post - but i am too busy despairing over the state of my kitchen right now. i am no homemaker extraordinaire, but i do, you know, wipe down the counters or the sink or the stove while i'm waiting for water to boil or bagels to toast, and clean up messes when i make them - and apparently my roommates do not, because the kitchen has gotten to a state when i don't want to touch everything. and i shared a communal kitchen with 40 other people as an undergrad, so my standards for filth are high. or low, i suppose. but every time i go in the kitchen to get something to eat, or to wash my dishes, or whatever, i spend 15 minutes wiping something down, and every single time i find a new surface that is sticky or full of baked on crap or has mysterious stains or is covered in the fucking cooking spray, and, internet, i am going to lose my goddamned mind.

...TERRIFYING. Oh god when do you get to move out and leave them in your dust? Because euuuuuuuuuuurgh. :/ I've lived with horribly untidy/insanitary people in the past and it sucked out loud, but that sounds spectacularly bad. (We once had to take dish drainer OUTSIDE and HOSE IT with the OUTDOOR HOSE before being able to wash it properly that's how disgusting it was, but that was pretty much the low point, I think. DDDD:)

But really, that is completely justifiable ass-kicking and NO JURY IN THE LAND, etc etc.
