irregular links post, 1/?
Apr. 25th, 2012 02:09 pmAs promised, the first of the irregular posts with hockey links I think are cool. (and yes, I anon'd all these links.)
- BSH's Narrative on Narratives, which has a certain amount of appeal to me because I don't believe in momentum.
- Long piece from the Boston Globe on the languages spoken in the Bruins' locker room. (Spoiler: Chara speaks all of them.)
- Ellen Etchingham on the culture of hitting, which is one of the best pieces I've read recently about hitting, concussions, and NHL discipline.
- During Gillis's end of season press conference, he said some things about what the team had been planning to do with Cory Hodgson (ie, trade him), and what they had done to make that happen. Drance at CanucksArmy looks at what the Canucks did to artificially inflate his points to get more value for him on the trade market, and Charron follows up with more detail on when he thinks it started. (NB: I find there's a certain tendency in parts of the Canucks blogosphere to act like no matter what's happening, it's all part of AV's/MG's master plan, so, grain of salt, but I still think it's interesting analysis.)
