So, I had gotten the impression that for most NHLers, they have a hometown, and a city they play for, and they're not the same. They may like the city they play for, but it's not home. Which is why as soon as the season's over, you get the entire team heading for canadianshacks mid-sized cities.
I had ALSO gotten the impression that Tazer was one of the exceptions to this rule, and that he liked Chicago better than Winnipeg. See, for example, how D Toews was signed after Hawks management liked what they saw of him after he spent all summer training with Tazer in Chicago.
So then: why does he own a condo in Winnipeg?
(I mean, I realize that the answer is 'when you make 6 million a year, why NOT?' but thinking about cap hits as actual salaries that people earn and not just made-up numbers kind of depresses me.)
