May. 18th, 2010 12:24 amthis was going to be another post complaining about apartment hunting (but in a good way! and having to choose a place! ...actually, i'll probably make that one tomorrow morning and ask for advice.) but i just learned (via otonal) the most amazing piece of skating canon ever. at champs camp, they make the skaters do a team building exercise, which, hahaha, that's amazing to imagine already. but it gets better!
IN 2009 THE TEAM BUILDING EXERCISE WAS FENCING. THE US PENTATHLON TEAM TAUGHT THEM TO FENCE. I WOULD HAVE PAY SERIOUS CASH MONEY TO HAVE BEEN THERE. IT IS POSSIBLY THE GREATEST THING I CAN IMAGINE. SERIOUSLY, I WOULD HAVE DIED OF GLEE.
EVERYONE WHO KNEW THIS AND DID NOT TELL ME IS FIRED. FIRED.
eta: okay, now that I am breathing again, I offer you ( the following snippets that i've found about this glorious event )
