May. 11th, 2010 05:01 pm1. Today in class: discussion how my university is part of the military-industrial complex. I knew we sort of were, because tech school, but there's knowing that and knowing that there are big chunks of the school that are basically annexes of the DoD. Cheerful.
2. Canon! Some of you have probably seen this already, but if you haven't: a documentary on Yu-Na. (Also on youtube, except for part 5 of 6. no, idk.) I'm not sure about the attempt to point to Yu-Na as a trend of change for young women in Korea, and some of the skating stuff is a tiny bit ...well, not wrong, but not quite right, either, but there is lots and lots of canon about Yu-Na's life and background, including her decision to go to Brian. (If you are really really into Brian Orser, somewhere that I could probably find again there's a 40 minute interview with nothing but Brian talking about his coaching philosophy.) (Is this a blatant attempt to get more people to write about Team Toronto? ABSOLUTELY.)
3. More canon! Did you know that Jeremy's parents have a blog? I haven't actually read very much of it, so i have no idea if there's interesting stuff in it or not, but if you are interested, there it is. (This, on the other hand, is actually not an attempt to get you to write about Jeremy, unless that is how the spirit moves you.)
