Apr. 6th, 2009 12:10 pm1. Heads up for anyone who missed it this weekend: I have a poll about language, and if you speak a language other than English, I'd love it if you'd take a minute to answer a couple of quick questions.
- : woke up this morning; wanted to carve my uterus out with a spoon. Body, why do you do this to me?
+ : applied for an internship last night. More importantly, got an email in response this morning and didn't freak out when I saw it in my inbox. PROGRESS! (Granted, it was just the "we got your application and will get in touch if we're interested after we actually read it" email, but lesser things have caused panic attacks.) (It'd be a cool internship to actually get, I think - it would give me actual marketable skills and it's in NYC.)(Downside: my skills aren't a huge match out of the box (but they say they value the ability to think quantitatively more than actual knowledge) and I'd have to move to and pay rent in NYC for three months (and I hate moving).) But I'm hoping I get it.
