Sep. 16th, 2008 08:01 pm1. Today was the second day of fencing practice/tryouts/captain's practices/conditioning/whatever we're calling it. I'm going to get my revenge on whoever is planning these practices. As soon as I can walk again. Except tomorrow we start footwork, so that won't be anytime soon.
2. Thursday is the Career Fair here on campus, where recruiters try to poach science majors into working in consulting or investments. Merril Lynch and Lehman Brothers were both scheduled to have booths. It would be rude to go and ask them questions about the opportunities available with them, y/n/y but do it anyway.
3. I was talking to someone about how I need to be eating more protein, and then I went to the grocery store to discover chicken breast half off. OKAY UNIVERSE, I CAN TAKE A HINT. Now I have to figure out what to do with it. Suggestions?
ETA: 4, which was the reason I started this post: the OTW published the first issue of their journal! I know there are a lot of mixed feelings about them, but I think this is really cool because I am exactly that kind of nerd. Only now I want to, like, sit down and discuss the articles, which is not a habit I used to have. Damn you, schooling.
