Sep. 8th, 2008 07:57 pmI am done with all the reading due this week. And I have no psets, either, so it's Monday night and I'm done with the homework for this week. (Probably I should be thinking about the paper due at the end of next week, but I'm waiting til class tomorrow to see if the prof gives us anything more specific that 'five pages about the Gracchi'.) Also, I took a bunch of books back to the library, went grocery shopping, and updated my resume. I feel so productive. At least, I would if I hadn't also meant to go running, register for an absentee ballot, and fill out my athletic paperwork today.
Sometimes I think the people at work are running some sort of contest to see who can give me the most creative dead boring task. The current task is "Here is a list of 6000 people who use ILL. Figure out which ones aren't actually supposed to be using it." Also, Boss, I know you are an English major at heart, but, really, using Excel to sort by last name isn't something you need to go and get the resident techie for. Seriously, just let me walk you through it.
My Logic class has a new TA - I think the Philo dept did some shuffling or something. The new one has a mustache. No, not a mustache. A Mustache. A 'what the hell is on your face?!?!' Mustache. It's thick and blond and goes down to his jawline on the sides. I will be incapable of going to office hours, because I'm afraid I'll be unable to restrain myself from laughing hysterically. I hope it's an ironic mustache, but, philo grad student, so the chances of that are not so good.
