(no subject)

I just watched Batman Begins and Velvet goldmine back-to-back. That is some serious cognitive dissidence re: Christian Bale. (Speaking of which, do we know what happened to Bruce Wayne in the gap in time in the first movie? If not, I'm going to adopt the events of Velvet Goldmine (modified for period appropriateness) as canon, if only for the lulz.)

Now, assuming it were not 4am, what would be the appropriate choice for a third Bale movie, to form a trilogy of WTF? I'm thinking The Machinist, but I haven't actually seen that, so that's just a guess.

Today's improbable mail

- a giant book that appears to be a catalog or directory or something of various kinds of ammunition. The paperwork accompying it is heavy on the ALL CAPS and has at least one number in place of a letter (ie, "N0 ADHESIVES"). The overall effect makes me want to back away slowly.

-a (corporate) library wanting to know if our mailing address is still the same - they found a book due in 1996 and it still has its paperwork and they called to ask if they can just mail it back. How did they manage to lose a book for 12 years but not the paperwork?

And then 80% of the office went to a training on Vista, so they sent me home early.
