I just got added on Facebook by a dude in France, whom I've never met and with whom I have no friends in common. The friend request came with a a message (and I quote) "hi! You're very beautiful and you look interesting. I would like to discuss with you if you agree of course. See you soon"

Tell me, is there any other proper response other than to go 'WTF?' and then fall out of my chair laughing?

(I'm attempting to decide on the proper course of action - I think the current leader is a message back, "Understand that I mean this in the politest of all possible ways, but who the fuck are you?')

Note to self: no matter how hopelessly you've gotten yourself hooked on a WIP, and no matter how hard it pushes one of your buttons (the plot kind, not the porn kind), performing the virtual equivalent of turning the author's LJ upside down and shaking it will not make more fic appear.

I may have read the existing parts four times in just over 24 hours, in a fandom I'm not in and know next to nothing about. SEND HELP
