I spent part of class today mentally composing cryptic emo entries, but then I took a long nap all afternoon, and that's surprisingly good for restoring some sort of perspective to things. So, let me just say that class is weirdly funny when you haven't really been sleeping. Although I maintain that a sentence like "Tiberius was a grumpy old man who never really wanted to be emperor and retired as soon as he could to an island where he hung out in the sun and swam with boys and looked at pornography' is funny even when properly rested. On the other hand, 'Forced suicide was a another feature of Roman elite politics' is probably only funny if you have the punchy brain voice that adds 'I think that's a bug, not a feature.'

Ugh. Feel free to leave me a comment telling me to go do something productive. Or feed my procrastination by distracting me in comments. Or whatever.
