I walked into the lounge yesterday, and there were a bunch of people playing RockBand, which is fairly standard. What was not so standard is that they were doing FOB's Dead on Arrival, which led to two three thoughts.

1. Until yesterday, I had never heard DOA, mostly because I am a bad fangirl and know basically none of the songs on TTTYG. However, the knowledge that there existed a FOB song called DOA was enough to allow me to identify it, between the chorus and the PStump vocals. It's possible I may have a problem.

2. Shortly after I realized it was a FOB song, I was struck by an immediate feeling of "CROSSING THE STREAMS DO NOT WANT."

3. Bizarrely enough, I don't get that feeling when at parties when PatD gets played*. I suspect that this is because I was a fan of Panic's music long before I was in fandom, and so have had almost a year of hearing it at parties to get used to.

*The reason Panic is on the party playlist is almost certainly the fault of a guy who used to live here who was a huge Panic fan. I knew this long before I was aware of the typical Panic fan, so the hilarity of a 22 year old dude, the epitome of 'business major,' now working as an investment banker in NYC, being a huge Panic fanboy did not strike me until recently.

Also, I heard the new Hush Sound song recently, and, wow. I am not familiar with Like Vines at all, but this song? I am kind of in love with Greta's voice. And have maybe been listening to it on repeat.

After several unsuccessful tries last night, I figured out how to get video off of youtube and onto my iPod, so I now have Cobra videos on my iPod. Hurrah! (This is the easiest way I found - you give it a URL and tell it a file format, and it converts the videos and gives you a link to download.)

ETA: Is LJ being difficult for anyone else, or am I just lucky like that? aka, I may only have one userpic, but I'm kind of fond of it and I'd like it back please.
