something that occurred to me, as I think about thor2 some more, is that they've done something interesting (accidental or deliberate) with the gaze in this movie.

i'm not sure i can think of a really hard-core moment of male gaze. the closest I can think of is when Loki illusions Thor into Sif's form and makes his 'hello there' comment - and even then, we get Sif in her armor and not in Asgasrdian lingerie or something.

(and thor's response to finding himself lady-like is "i can still kill you like this." charmed.)

on the other hand, female gaze:

-the one really gratuitous moment of semi-nudity was from chris helmsworth

-darcy's darcy-ness - i think i recall a something or other comment on some dude's attractiveness?

-the woman on the tube, who bumps into Thor and then keeps looking pleased with herself, in that 'check out this hottie i get to stand next to' sort of way.

anyway, i found that pleasing.
