-I am totally charmed that Chicago and Chicago South went out to dinner last night
-Buff has apparently grown 2 inches since moving to Atlanta. (How inflated are player stats, anyway? Inquiring minds want to know.)
-Hey, a shootout win is still a win.
-Daydream Nation finally showed up and did their thing!
-Kane hit people, which is not his thing but is still amazing (also, that interview this morning where he talks about how it's not the size of the hockey player, it's how you use it.)
-Skille appears to be trying to get the puck in the net by getting everything and everyone in the net
-Seriously, Hawks, maybe we need to review the point of the penalty kill. Failing that, stay out of the box!
-Morin! :(
-"Byfuglien... Nothing doin'. Stalberg... He's pretty, just like that GAME WINNER!!" Are we sure the twitter guy is not one of us? (relatedly, I'm not sure I've ever seen a good pic of Stalberg.)


1. From what I've read, Coach Q has been expressing his displeasure with the team leading up to this game - near-bag skate yesterday, morning skate cut short today after words.
2. Toews had 4 points tonight - the first time he's ever done that in the regular season.
3. ....I had just written "I'd read it", but that makes it sound like I'd be okay with Toews/Q, which I emphatically am not. But you know where I'm going, right?

I was so happy that Kaner decided to show up and actually play this game. I expressed this happiness by talking endlessly about him goading Tazer into having sex with him by being like, "I'm totally better in bed than you, Tazer. I understand if you don't want me to prove it to you, though, because it would probably be really embarrassing for you to be so much less good at sex than me. We can just call it a tie. We're tied." And Tazer is like, "SHUT THE FUCK UP, I'm way better than you, take your fucking pants off."

How embarrassing must it be to have been checked by PATRICK KANE. Even Foley and Edzo sounded pretty disbelieving.

Jack Skille is adorable and I just want him to score like, 8 goals in the next 3 games, because he's doing everything else right.

Also, after Buff missed in the shootout, he skated by the Hawks bench and a bunch of guys held out their fists and I just went AWWWWW.
